Show Hunter Conditions
 Show Hunter classes run under ESNZ Show Hunter rules 2014 & SHNZ Equitation Series Conditions 2014.
 Horses/ponies with an annual start registration will gain HOY points in classes designated HOYQ.
 Some pony show hunter classes may be run back to back. These will be advertised on the day.
 Ponies will not be restricted to their respective categories in open classes BUT MUST jump in their correct height category for High Points.
 Junior Equitation Class - Ashburton/Canterbury series competed for over 2 Ashburton and 3 Canterbury shows in the 2016-2017 season.
 Handy Pony Hunter- Open to Category A,B & C Ponies

ESNZ JUMPING AND CASUAL LEVIES
$5 ESNZ Jumping Levy – (Compulsory) – payable by all horses/ponies competing in Jumping and or Show Hunter. $15/$10 Casual Jumping Levy The rider must be a full member with ESNZ. Horse/Pony not registered for ESNZ J/SH can compete using this levy. The levy is $15 for the first day competing (this is related to the horse not the day of the show) and $10 for subsequent days at the same show. Can jump up to 1.10 on a pony an up to 1.20 on a horse. Cannot compete in series classes and will not be eligible for HOY points in SH.
Riders may compete in Introductory class (80cm and under with no prize money) on a community membership. All other riders must be fully registered with ESNZ.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
 All classes run under ESNZ/JNZ/SHNZ rules. Please see the ESNZ website for current Rules and Series/High Points conditions www.nzequestrian.org.nz
 Committee reserves the right to alter, delete or amend any class as it deems fit.
 Late entry 50% penalty (conditions apply)

 Scratching to be advised by 8am–Refunds less 20%. Class changes $2
 LATE ENTRIES - start last, and in the event of a call back jump off - start first, with the exception of classes 24 & 26 where all late entries start first.
 Class 24 - Ponies with 20 penalties or less proceed to second round
 Class 26 – Horse with 20 penalties or less proceed to second round
 Show Jumping - One championship or Grand/Mini Prix start per horse/pony.
 Manure – Please clean up all manure and hay from around your floats and truck. Manure skips can be found at the end of each stable block.
 Parking – No trucks/floats to be parked immediately around the main oval, or behind the grandstand. NO EXCEPTIONS!
 Grounds will be watered
 Stables/covered yards $30 – yards $15 for duration of the show. (NO FEE - NO BOX/YARD). STABLING WILL BE ISSUED 1ST IN, 1ST SERVED. No off ground stabling will be allocated. All stabling enquiries to Sandy Shore 03 3089 095 or 027 6000266 [email protected]
 Ground Fee per horse/pony $15 and Administration fee (Incl. First Aid Fee) $5 per rider. Catalogue $5, to be paid with entries.
 Cheques made payable to: Ashburton Area ESNZ Show jumping. Bank Account number “03-0835-0172425-03” – please state the ‘riders name’ as a reference
 Back numbers will be allocated to each rider
 Entries must be on official ESNZ entry form including horse & rider registration numbers.
 By entering or attending the Ashburton Area ESNZ Jumping & Show Hunter Show you accept that you may appear within differing media streams that are on location covering the event. Your behaviour at the event and within the competition arena is at your discretion and is your responsibility. Please note that there might be live streaming at the event therefore the camera is on throughout the day.
 Ashburton Area Members – please complete ‘Helpers Form’ – bond of $30 per rider, form can be found on the website. Riders must nominate what jobs they can assist with running the show and are to supply a plate to assist with catering.
 Dress code – Formal riding attire in all show jumping and show hunter rings
 Refunds/Prize Money/accounts must be collected at show, or applied for in writing/email within 21 days of show
