Riders require Full ESNZ Annual Membership
Registration Requirements (Horses & Ponies)
High Points and Equitation Series classes – Full ESNZ Registration PLUS full Jumping Annual Start
HOYQ (Horse of the Year Qualifier Classes) – Full ESNZ Registration PLUS Jumping Annual Start and Jumping Levy $5 per
show in order to be allocated HOYQ points
Unregistered horses/ponies (or horses/ponies registered with ESNZ with no discipline start for SJ/SH) can start using a
Casual Jumping Levy of $15 for the first day of the show and $10 for each subsequent day of the same show PLUS Jumping
Levy of $5 per show. HOYQ points will not be allocated
Entry Restrictions
Junior, Amateur, Adult classes – For complete age and eligibility definition see SH rules on ESNZ website
Ponies – may only enter one height category (excludes Equitation)
Pony High Points – ponies may only enter the correct height related category:
Cat A 133cm & under
Cat B over 133cm up to & including 143cm
Cat C over 143cm up to & including 148cm
One mount only in Rider Equitation classes
NRM Pony Rider Equitation Class is open to any aged pony rider. Note: riders may not also enter the ‘Coca-Cola Equitation
12yrs and under’ Class 23 (Riders Age - as at 1 August 2015)
Unregistered horses or ponies are not eligible for HOYQ Points (but are eligible for prize money) and cannot compete in
National Series classes
Points Restricted classes – open to those horses/ponies with 30 points or less as recorded by ESNZ as at 1 August 2015
Rising Star Series - open to those horses not jumping over 90cm
Burger King Handy Hunter Horse Classics (1m and 1.05m) and Pony CAT C – (a) horse/rider combination one division only,
(b) call-back follows first round - TBC on day, (c) call-back at discretion of Committee based on time available
Tara Groenstein Memorial Trophy awarded for Amateurs from points gained from nominated classes held Auckland
November 2015 show, Waitemata January 2016 show and Waikato February 2016 show.
Prize Money
All registered classes will receive prize money/product/vouchers at the following ratio: 1st: 3 entries, 2nd: 4-7 entries, 3rd:
8-11 entries, 4th: 12-15 entries, thereafter 1:7 entries
Prize money paid by direct credit after the show
Yarding/Camping
Yards/Camping available
Yards $25 per horse/pony per show (Bedding Provided)
Covered Yards $50 per horse/pony per show (Bedding Provided)
Camping $20 per truck/float (up to 2 people) per show, $25 per truck/float (3 or more people) per show
Earliest arrival time is 12 noon the day before unless by prior arrangements with Woodhill Sands. You must use your
allocated yard, and leave it clean (no dung or hay)
