EXPLANATION OF SHOW DATE CHANGES
First of all just a quick explanation as to the changes in the Show dates this year which I know has lead to some confusion for many of you.
The Royal Manawatu Show was held at the beginning of December this year, however this was nothing to do with the normal Manawatu and Feilding A and P Shows. You will have noticed familiar helpers from both shows as we were asked to help run the Livestock and Equestrian Sections.
Neither Feilding nor Manawatu A and P Shows have held their Annual Show for 2013. Feilding’s Showjumping and Show Hunter programme was used at the Royal Show and they ran a jumping and pleasure show in November (not their normal programme or date) . Manawatu A and P will be running a Showing Section (qualifier for HOY) on the 8th and 9th of February 2014. There will be no jumping other than Working Hunter.
This Show will be run at Foxton Racecourse in conjunction with The Manawatu Showing Championships. MSC will take place on Saturday the 8th up until 5pm. At 5pm Manawatu A and P Show Classes will start their twilight programme and then a full Manawatu A and P Show day on Sunday. This is the perfect opportunity for you all to compete at two wonderful shows taking place at the same venue over one weekend.
If you require accommodation for your horse please book Friday’s stabling/yarding on your Manawatu Showing Champs form and Saturday and Sundays on your Manawatu A and P Show form.
