Please note there are no refunds given to scratchings received after Wednesday September 25 unless a vet certificate is supplied.
Rules and Conditions
1. No entries will be accepted unless accompanied by fees.
2. Run under the Bylaws and Regulations of the RAS Equestrian Rule Book
3. In-Line Resolution Process Policy will be enforced in cases of offences in respect of abuse of animals or inappropriate behaviour as per the RAS Constitution and the RAS Rules & Regulations the RAS website – www.ras.org.nz.
4. Clean Sport – The Rules of the Royal A&P Society NZ in regard to Clean Sport apply. Competitors are advised that tests for forbidden substances may be carried out during the Show/Event and that testing of all animals is at the person responsible risk. 5. The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry without deducting any reason for doing so. 6. In all ridden events an approved safety helmet must be worn. Note: All riders must wear an approved and ‘yellow’ tagged helmet, which must conform with one of the current approved safety standards.
7. Whiskers and Inner Ear Trimming – as from 1 January 2022 - There is to be no trimming of whiskers, eye or inner ear hair/whiskers of Horses/ponies competing at RAS affiliated A&P Shows/Events.
8. The measuring rules of the RAS of NZ will apply at this show. All Horses and Ponies must have a current height certificate which shall be presented on request.
9. Starting times are approximate only, but will be adhered to as closely as possible. Although it is provided that horses may compete in more than one class, or any or all such classes may be judged simultaneously at the convenience of the judges or stewards, in all such cases exhibitors having an exhibit in more than one class must elect in which class they compete. The steward will call their name twice only. Entry fees will not be refunded if an event is missed through not hearing the call.
10. Refunds are at the discretion of the Show Committee.
11. Performance Cards: It is the responsibility of the owner/rider to present these to the Horse/Pony Ring office for updating.
12. Rider/Handlers age and eligibility is determined as per the 1st of August i.e. riders/handlers who are of age for any division/section of the 1st of August completes the show year/season in that division/section. . 13. Protests must be submitted to the secretary within 30 minutes of the completion of the section along with $100 deposit
