Main-Events for Horse Owners
Originally developed to manage records for local horse breeding operation Longspring Sport Horses, this simplified version is ideal for horse owners and riders looking for a simple, modern database application that will track health, pedigree, registration, performance, breeding and training records.
A major revamp in the last 6 months has produced a product that could be most closely described as Horse Diary software that is finding wide appeal among those people who need professional reports to promote and sell their horses or training services.
The software tracks pedigrees, performance, health information, nutrition, breeding and anything else an owner wants to set up. It is totally customizable with no limits on the number of horses that can be recorded. Owners can draw in horse markings and brands using MS Paint for instant access anytime.
This is the same software used to manage the horses involved in the Age Breeding Series and the Tielcey Park Stallion parade.
The software sells for $250 (plus gst to NZ customers) and includes a 58 page User Guide in PDF format. It also links to a Calendar of Events and to Stallion Pedigrees so an owner can create their own customised Show Calendar and track information on a variety of sires in NZ.
There are over 25 reports providing a range of printed information and check lists that a rider could use to track performance and/or help sell a horse when the time comes.

We are also working on a version that will run large studs and training stables who invoice clients and need to track much more detailed information. It will also provide detailed records for fresh and frozen semen shipments.
This version should be available for the start of Oct 2008. An upgrade from the Horse Owners to the Horse Professionals will be available making the transition from one to the other a simple process.

Feature List
- Unlimited number of horses and includes full performance records
- List view can be filtered easily to show one year, one gender, one sire’s progeny, one status etc.
- Inactive horses can be hidden from view but still fully accessible – eg deceased or sold. Or they can be deleted with all associated activities.
- Detail view records owner, breeder, and rider/trainer – pick from a list or simply type in as a one off reference
- 3 generation pedigree can be entered, and once the sire or dam is on record, it updates all other progeny automatically
- Record multiple registrations (breed organization, competition organizations, futurity registrations etc)
- Your name, address and logo show on every report printed out
- Activities monitored are covered within the 4 major areas – Health, Breeding, Performance and Other.
- Within these areas you can totally customize what you want to track with optional follow updates and associated costs.
- Store links to photographs with each horse. Option to copy to a Horse owners folder for safe keeping. Photos can be ticked to appear on reports to suit each audience.
- Record markings and brands using MS Paint program. Simply double click on blank markings and draw into place. Then appears on multiple reports.
- Long notes with automatic date and time reference is ideal for training notes
- Track people you deal with full address, phone, email, website and free notes. Includes an automatic email link that opens to an email message when you double click on it.
- Create your own calendar of events that you plan to attend. NZ customers have calendar built in of all equestrian events. This is being implemented shortly for other markets as they evolve.
- Within the events calendar, track each class with its entry fee, prize money, scores, results and a comment.
- Over 20 report formats built in that can be used to manage your horses, sell horses or keep track of training (including a graph that tracks scores horse by horse in competitions).
- You can pick and choose any combination of horses, activities, dates, events or people you deal with.
- OPTIONAL – extend the power of this program through the addon module Main-Events PDF writer which allows you to email exact copies of any reports including markings and/or photos to any customer.
