Main-Events for Shows - First Steps
The Main-Events for Shows – First Steps is a small program that will allow any sport or show organizer to track entries into their event with results. It does not handle invoicing or detailed customer fees, but is a great little program which produces quality reports including schedules, catalogues, programs, class lists, results, judges scorecards (5 formats) etc.
This is an ideal program for small shows coming from a paper based system into a computerized system. In fact, it is so versatile that you can run lots of different events – it has been used to help manage conferences, trade shows, athletics meets, swimming competitions, and marathons as well as horse shows.
This is the first level that is aimed at event managers with up to 10 – 15 classes or sessions – although there is no limit.
The higher level programs for Sporting Events includes much more in terms of expense tracking, emails, mail merges and PDF creation. However, you can start with this version and then upgrade to a higher level at any stage in future.

- Record event name, location, dates with a show or organization logo which appears on all printed reports
- Can record entries into almost any type of event or competition – eg horse show, dog shows, school sport, conference sessions
- Setup separate classes (unlimited number) with a location, entry fee and prize money or points earned.
- Track customers with addresses, emails, phone numbers and their specific entries (eg horses, dogs, students etc)
- Track class details including conditions, notes, sponsors and judges/officials.
- In the class list area, you can assign a random draw or a draw based on alphabetical order.
- Calculate up to 3 scores into a final score – average, total, minimum or maximum over the 3 scores
- Assign officials and sponsors to individual classes
- Assign back numbers to competitors or entries (animals)
- Record results including any = with prize money linked automatically
- Simple spreadsheet export option can include customers, class lists or results
- 24 report formats including catalogues, schedules, class lists, judges score sheets, administration reports, customer labels, entry statistics and entry receipt lists
- Program can be easily upgraded to the Main-Events Standard or Main-Events Professional versions
