The Main-Events Calendar is a one stop shop for equestrian events. You can find ESNZ shows, A&P Shows, PC events and more all in the one place. While not all show organizers have submitted schedules for you to view, there are over 450 shows listed here of which 130 have schedules to view. Schedules are added each month from the ESNZ Bulletin or from shows that use Main-Events software as they become available.
It is up to you riders to encourage you local shows to list on Main-Events and register the event with schedule. It is FREE for shows to list and upload documents. And you don’t have to be using Main-Events software to be listed.
In the relaunch of the Main-Events Calendar, our first priority was to include a rider’s home page where you can select your favourite shows to appear in one place. To do this, you need to register as a member of the Main-Events community with your email address and a password. This is easily done through the REGISTER tab at the top of the screen; or by clicking the Sign up now under the Logon area.
Once you have registered and logged on, you will be sent an email to confirm you are a real person with an email link to click to activate your account. Once you have activated your account, you will see a MY MAIN-EVENTS tab where you build up your own list of favourite events.
Your email must be unique in our community database so that only one person can sign up as a “member”. If you are a family, please nominate one person to be the first and last name listed or sign up as “Jones” (firstname) and “Family” (lastname) replacing Jones of course with your family name.
To add an event to your MY MAIN-EVENTS home page, go the Event list, filter as appropriate to find the shows you want, click on the link to view the details of the show and from there click on Add to Favourites. Repeat as required. Once you have set up this list, you won’t have to do it again. Each season, the list of favourites will rollover with you.
To delete a show from your favourites, click on the small green circle button with a minus symbol (Remove).
No, you don’t. Any one can view the Event list, click on show links, view class lists and results and download documents posted by the show organisers. But you won’t be able to have your own home page with favourite events listed or to view your own rider’s home page listing entries for each show using Main-Events Software.
The only information that we need to provide the service we do is your name and email.
You can change these and your password at any stage from the MY DETAILS tab of your home page.
If an event uses Main-Events software, the show secretary can upload a data file of class lists to the website so that you can view class lists and results showing all entries. These shows also allocate a customer code so that you can enter that code in your new home page under MY ENTRIES and you will see the list of classes you have entered for all your horses.
Not all Main-Events Shows have sent through data – this is an area we need to work on with show secretaries. Often the shows will send class lists as documents – eg show catalogue or results printout. Some shows do both!
We depend to some extent on advertising on the website or through Main-Events to fund further development so when you sign up, you will be asked if we can email or mail out advertising or other information we think you might be interested in from third party companies. We NEVER give out your email to others (see Privacy below) – we will email out the material on their behalf.
We promise that we won’t bombard you with advertising and we will certainly only email stuff we think is interesting ourselves – ie sale brochures or new products being launched.
If you don’t want to see this stuff, that is cool with us. When you sign up, you have an option to untick that you don’t want marketing materials sent to you. You can also change this through your MY DETAILS tab.
Finally, your rider home page is the first step in a major expansion of the website. We welcome your feedback as to what you would like this site to do next. Use the feedback tab on the right hand side of your screen to vote for ideas already listed; or to start your own idea.
